A Hungarian artist and a collector par excellence, Olga Fisch immigrated to Ecuador in 1939 and soon recognized the vast potential of the folk artisans of Ecuador. She was a humanist and a visionary whose main attribute, in her own words, was to "know how to recognize quality in a work of art ". She began working with Ecuador’s artisans throughout the country and guiding them to refine their artistic expressions so that the gap between folk art and traditional fine art could be linked.

Now, Olga Fisch Folklore brings its tradition and exclusive design to Galapagos. Like everything Folklore Olga Fisch does, this shop is also a beautiful representation of Ecuador: it shows the bright colors of the Galapagos, Coast, Highlands and Jungle which play with the equatorial sun light within the spaces of the shop. Also, the boutique dances in harmony with the delicate environment of the Islands by using volcanic rock, native plants, and low-environmental impact methods in its construction. As a result, we present a unique place to enjoy the innovative creations made by the ingenious hands of our country.
